Amateur photographers lately explore the possibilities of HDR photography. HDR - or high dynamic range - is a technology that gives a complete new look on the world around you using advanced software.
Out of an exposure series of three pictures - basically an overexposed, a normal exposed and an underexposed image - a software calculates an extreme contrast rich picture which features a lot of details and special beauty.
Like already pointed out before you only need different exposed pictures.

The PRAKTICA luxmedia 8403 has a special exposure mode - a so called AEB mode (Automatic Exposure Bracketing), which captures three images with an exposure difference of -2.0EV till +2.0EV in 1/3 steps.
Afterwards, you may use a software to calculate the HDR picture. At Samples are three pictures, which were done with a HDR software called Photomatix.
There are various free- and shareware programs that tickle the special charme out of your pictures.
